Administrators

Ms. Rachel

Ms. Rachel is a partner at Creative Habitat Children Center. She has 30 years of experience in the education field and has concentrated on Early Childhood Education in the past 20 years.

Ms. Rachel held a Bachelor degree in Psychology and earned her Early Childhood Education units at De Anza college. What she enjoys most when working with children are the opportunities to engage and nurture them. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also finds joy in reading, watching movies, attending concerts, and scrapbooking. She enjoys good food and traveling! Ms. Rachel loves the childhood books series “If you give a Mouse a Cookie."

Ms. Katherine

Ms. Katherine is our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and also a partner at Creative Habitat Children Center. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has a background in finance. In conjunction with being our CFO, Ms. Katherine also supports the classrooms as a substitute teacher. She specializes in Infant and Toddler Care. She earned her Early Childhood Education units at De Anza College. Working with children has been a joy for Ms. Katherine. She enjoys playing and engaging with them. She loves seeing their smiling faces when they are happy. Ms. Katherine is bilingual. She speaks Chinese and English. In her spare time, Ms. Katherine enjoys activities such as basketball, badminton, hiking, swimming, reading, and movie watching. Her favorite children’s book is “Are you, my Mother?”

Ms. Christina

Ms. Christina has been with Creative Habitat for 11 years. She was the Assistant Director for five years and has been the Center Director for the past two years. Ms. Christina attended Barstow College for her Early Childhood Education studies. What she likes best about working with children is watching them experience and learn new things. Ms. Christina enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is also an excellent cook and baker. In her down, she likes to watch movies, play games, and attend concerts. Her favorite children’s book is “Where the Sidewalk Ends.”
 

Infant Room

Ms. Vanessa

Ms. Vanessa is the mother of her wonderful daughter. She has been an Infant/Toddler teacher for about a year, but she has had more than ten years of experience working with children. Ms. Vanessa has been a camp counselor, a nanny, and babysitter. She also had volunteered her time at various child-centered organizations. Ms. Vanessa obtained her Child Development units through De Anza College and West Valley College. She is CPR and First Aid Certified. Ms. Vanessa has plans to pursue in her Bachelor Degree in Education. She would like to teach young elementary children. To Ms. Vanessa, witnessing the children’s developmental process is the best part of working with them. Her favorite children’s book is “Green Eggs and Ham.”

Ms. Andrea

Ms. Andrea has more than five years of experience working in the field. After attending a few classes in the childcare setting, she fell in love with teaching young children. She obtained her Early Childhood Education units from De Anza College. Ms. Andrea has goals to further her education in the field, and eventually start a daycare center of her own. Working with young children has brought her joy because she gets to observe the seeds in their minds grow into plants. Ms. Andrea knows that she is an important figure in her student’s lives, and that is why she is here. In her spare time, she loves to bake, and spend quality time with her family. Ms. Andrea has a 20 months old daughter that she reads to almost every night. Their favorite books to read together comes from the “Knuffle Bunny” collection.
 

Toddler Room

Ms. Elva

Ms. Elva has been a teacher at Creative Habitat for about ten years. She studied at California College of Early Childhood Education in San Mateo, California. As a teacher, Ms. Elva is a crucial part of her students’ development because she gets to witness so many wonderful “first moments” in their lives. Before becoming a teacher, Ms. Elva had explored other career options. She has been working since she was fifteen years old. Ultimately, it was the wondrous smiles on her students’ faces that kept her in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Elva is a wife and a mother of 3 wonderful sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and going on vacation. Her favorite children’s book is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”

Ms. Aileen

Ms. Aileen has eight years’ experience teaching children ages 3-6 in a classroom setting. She joined the Creative Habitat team, as a Toddler Teacher. Ms. Aileen admitted that she was nervous at first because she has not worked with this age group before, but now she cannot express how much enjoys her class. She loves that children are very honest. Working with them, makes her feel accomplished and fulfilled. Ms. Aileen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med from Catholic University in the Philippines. However, she then decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. She took a different path in her studies and obtained her certificate in teaching, and became a Licensed Teacher. Ms. Aileen is the mother of 2 adorable children and a loving wife to her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, baking, and watching Korean drama. Her favorite children’s book is “The Giving Tree.”

Ms. Bertha

Ms. Bertha has more than eight years of experience in the field. She attended the Center for Employment Training and San Jose City College. She has always wanted to work with children. Ms. Bertha enjoys working in a team of Early Childhood Education. She is the mother of 4 children. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking. Her favorite children’s book is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”
 

Junior Preschool

Ms. Patty

Ms. Patty has over 20 years of experience as a preschool teacher. She studied Early Childhood Education at De Anza College. Her favorite thing about her job is watching children grow and develop. Ms. Patty has two daughters and two granddaughters. Her favorite book is “The Giving Tree.”
 

Preschool

Ms. Janice

Ms. Janice has over 25 years of experience in a preschool setting. She has had experience working with Toddlers to Pre-Kindergarten. She has an Associate of Arts in Child Development for DeAnza College. She promotes professional development by attending continuous learning workshops. Ms. Janice also holds a Teacher Permit. Working with children has been rewarding for Ms. Janice. She likes to watch them grow, make them laugh and give them hugs. She is the mother of three boys. She enjoys spending time with her family, barbecuing, playing board games, and going on trails with her bike. Her favorite children’s book is “Giraffes Can’t Dance.”
 

Pre-K Room

Ms. Diana

Ms. Diana is our Pre-Kindergarten & Assistant Director. She has more than ten years of experience in the field. Ms. Diana has an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Science in Business, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. When working with children, every day is a new experience for her. She gets to start every day anew and create new memories. In her downtime, Ms. Diana enjoys connecting with friends and family, doing arts and crafts, binge-watching shows on Netflix, and hiking. Ms. Diana did not learn to ride a bike until she was an adult. It was a fun and challenging experience that reminded her that it is never too late to find your inner child. Her favorite children’s book is “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day.”

Support Teachers

Ms. Kathy

Ms. Kathy is a member of our support team. She has had experience working as a substitute teacher. Ms. Kathy has worked with a broad range of age groups. However, she found her niche in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from San Jose State University and later obtained her Child Development units from De Anza College. Ms. Kathy loves the enthusiasm and energy that the child provides. She also loves their passion for play and learning. Ms. Kathy has three younger siblings. She is also the proud aunt of a 10-month old niece. In her free time, Ms. Kathy enjoys signing, workout, and reading. She loves reading from childhood classic Bernstein Bear book collection.
